In order for the Honda EPC and the Honda Update Centre to run on Windows versions more recent than Vista, it may be necessary to set the 'Compatibility mode' for the EPC.

To do this, locate the shortcut of the EPC on your desktop. Right click on that and choose 'Properties' from the drop down menu.

From the Properties dialog box, choose the 'Compatibility' tab. Then select the 'Compatibility mode' box for Windows XP (Service Pack 3).

 

It is also advisable to set the 'Privilege level' to administrator. In the same dialog box, find the 'Privilege level' and select the 'Run this program as an administrator' box.

Please note: following these changes, you will need to re-enter your Dealer address and Dealer Code  on the Honda EPC. This is done from the Edit menu > Edit dealer information. Please remember that your dealer code is either your old 5 digit number in the format '9xxxx' or your new 6 digit SAP dealer number. This new EPC version will allow you to enter either number but we would recommend that you enter your new dealer number for this update.
